- Cart type:
- Drawer: after a product is added, a side panel opens with the cart.
- Page: the customer goes to the cart page.
- Shared behavior: the drawer, the cart page and the cart count in the header always show the same state. Quantity changes and removals update without reloading, and are announced to screen readers.
- Line items show:
- variant options
- subscription plan names
- custom line item properties from apps
- line-level discounts
- unit prices
- the original price when discounted
- Quantity limits: if a customer asks for more than is available, the cart keeps the maximum allowed and shows a message on that line.
- Totals: subtotal, cart-level discounts (automatic discounts, for example) and the total, with a note about taxes and shipping at checkout. Discount codes are entered at checkout; the theme has no discount code field.
- Cart page: Show order note and Show accelerated checkout buttons.
- Empty cart: a message and a link to continue shopping.
- Cart drawer: has its own Color scheme. Select the Cart drawer section in the editor to open it while you edit. Its settings:
- Show free shipping progress: a bar that tells customers how much more they need to spend for free shipping. Set the amount in Theme settings > Cart > Free shipping threshold, in your store currency, and set up the matching free shipping rate in Settings > Shipping. The bar only shows when the customer shops in your store currency.
- Show product recommendations with a Recommendations heading: related products under the cart items.
- Show order note: a gift note or delivery instructions field.
